Our Policies

Matting policy

In compliance with The Animal Welfare Act 2006, all animals must be protected from pain, injury & disease. The most important thing to us is your dog’s wellbeing.

If your dog’s coated is matted all over, they will have to be clipped off short, as the shortest blade needs to be used to enable us to get underneath the matts. We will always try our best to prevent this happening by brushing or shaving small matts, however we will not do so if we think it’s causing distress to your dog.

Dogs with coats that are likely to get matted (e.g. cockapoos, cavapoos, anything poodle or doodle!) need to be brushed and combed at home at least twice a week to keep their coat in a good condition, along with regular grooming. If you are unsure how often your breed should have a professional groom, please ask for our advice. We’re also always happy to provide tips & tricks on how to keep your dog’s coat well maintained!

We understand that it isn’t always easy to keep on top of regularly brushing and combing your pet; our aim is to work together with our clients to keep their pooches as happy and healthy as possible.

Cancellation policy

Should you cancel, change or fail to attend your appointment with less than 48 hours of the appointment taking place, we will require payment in full for the appointment missed to offset the loss of income to the business.

Late Policy

As we are a small salon and operate on a 1-2-1 appointment system, please ensure you are on time to drop off and collect your dog. We understand situations happen but if you’re any later than 15 minutes to your appointment we may not have enough time to groom your dog and you may have to rebook.

If you’re running late to collect your dog, please call us to make us aware.

Any later than 30 minutes will acquire a £5 charge per half an hour.
